On 30 January 2026, EUROCHAM Malaysia’s Automotive Committee, represented by MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia, Scania Malaysia, and Volvo Trucks Malaysia, engaged in a multi-agency workshop with Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Land Public Transport Agency (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat), Department of Road Transport (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ)), Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
This dialogue focused on bridging the gap between industry needs and regulatory frameworks to foster a more resilient heavy transport sector. Key discussion points included ongoing efforts to streamline certification processes and reduce permit approval lead times, the importance of ensuring road safety, and the need to keep industry players informed of the latest regulatory and policy developments.
We express our gratitude to all organisations involved and our committee members for their valuable input during this meeting. EUROCHAM Malaysia remains committed to driving a business-friendly environment that supports long-term industrial productivity.
