EUROCHAM Malaysia will be hosting an Advocacy Networking event together with DHL Supply Chain Malaysia this month!

Join us as we connect and discover more about the logistics sector through an engaging and experiential networking event. During the event, there will be an engaging Fireside Chat Session moderated by Mr. Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia with Mr. Mario Lorenz, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain Malaysia.

EUROCHAM Malaysia has also extended an invitation to a representative from the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) to deliver the keynote speech and to share pertinent details about the supply chain during the Fireside Chat session. The event will also include a visit to the DHL Supply Chain warehouse and some light refreshments in the evening.

Foreigners with long-term passes can now use Immigration's KLIA autogate system

The Immigration Department has extended the use of its autogate entry system at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to foreigners holding long-term visitor passes, among others.

Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud said this would benefit over 1.86 million Temporary Work Visit Pass holders and Long-Term Visit Pass holders.

The autogate facility could only be by Malaysians before, but a pilot programme was carried out from Sept 16 to Nov 15 involving foreigners holding Long-Term Visit Passes.

"The 1.86 million foreigners this facility benefits comprises 1.36mil Temporary Work Visit Pass holders; 169,263 Citizen Spouse Pass holders; 68,012 Student Pass holders; 14,046 Resident Pass holders; 52,932 Malaysia My 2nd Home pass holders; 12,335 Special Visit Passes; 9,345 Dependents of Social Visit Passes (PLS); 91,198 Employment Passes and 77,445 other pass holders under the supervision of the Expatriate Services Division," he told reporters at KLIA on Tuesday (Nov 15).

Honorary Council of Advisors (HCA) Meeting

EUROCHAM Malaysia conducted the Honorary Council of Advisors meeting yesterday at the office of the EU Delegation To Malaysia as part of our mission to create value for the European-Malaysian business community. The HCA meeting yesterday was held to discuss proposals for the consideration of the BOD regarding accomplishing EUROCHAM’s mission and vision that include promoting, supporting and developing EU business interests in Malaysia and facilitating two-way trade, commerce and investments between EU and Malaysia.

Among the distinguished founding council members that attended the meeting were His Excellency Michalis Rokas, Ambassador and Head of European Union in Malaysia, Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid, Chairman of CARI ASEAN Research and Advocacy and Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, and Dr Muhammed Abdul Khalid, Managing Director of DM Analytics Malaysia and Former Economic Adviser to former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Muhamad.
