EUROCHAM Malaysia proudly announces a groundbreaking partnership with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), cemented by the signing of an MoU at Menara IQ. Witnessed by YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, and H.E. Michalis Rokas, EU Ambassador to Malaysia, this alliance marks a significant leap forward in the digital economy sector.
This MoU strengthens ties between the Malaysian digital ecosystem and EUROCHAM Malaysia's network, opening doors for Malaysian tech companies in Europe and attracting European tech investments to Malaysia. We're creating a unified digital landscape that benefits businesses, stakeholders, and end-users on both sides.
Ericsson and MDEC have also signed a significant MoU to equip Malaysian students and the workforce for the digital economy. By aligning education with industry requirements, this initiative empowers individuals to thrive in the digital age.
EUROCHAM Malaysia was honoured to attend the launch of the Expatriate Satellite Centre (ESC) at KLIA Terminal 2, a pivotal initiative to elevate Malaysia's attractiveness to investors and global talent yesterday. The event, officiated by YB Senator Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs, underscores Malaysia's commitment to enhancing immigration processes.
Jointly established by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) and TalentCorp, with MYXpats, the ESC aims to expedite and streamline expatriate immigration services. Mr. Thomas Mathew, TalentCorp Group CEO, highlighted how this new facility will significantly reduce processing times, and support companies with urgent staffing requirements.
