Ministry of Health Malaysia announced effective 1 April 2022 the following procedures, the definition of vaccination status, discontinued items, on arrival procedures and fully vaccinated travellers – announcements as follows:

i. Procedure for travellers entering Malaysia from 1 April 2022.

ii. Definition of the vaccination status from 1 April 2022.

iii. From 1 April 2022, the following will be discontinued for travellers entering Malaysia.

iv. On-arrival procedures for travellers from 1 April 2022.

v. Fully vaccinated travellers are allowed to cross the Malaysia and Singapore land border from 1 April 2022.

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has issued a media statement regarding the Reopening of the National Border of Malaysia – media statement as follows:

As is well known, Malaysia will enter the ‘Transition to Endemic 'effective April 1, 2022. To accelerate development and the country's economic recovery, Malaysia will reopen borders to the whole country.

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has prepared a protocol for travellers to make Malaysia a safe destination as well to avoid congestion at international entrances.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore has issued a joint statement regarding the Reopening of the Land Border – joint press statement as follows:

Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore H.E Lee Hsien Loong spoke on the phone on 24 March 2022.

The Prime Ministers recognise the good progress that both countries have made in vaccinating their respective populations and managing the COVID-19 pandemic, and note the progress made in resuming cross-border travel through the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (Air) and (Land).
