Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has issued a media release regarding All Categories of Travellers Who Are Malaysian and Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents Will Be Eligible under VTL-Land Effective 20 December 2021 – media release as follow:

The launch of Vaccinated Travel Lane-Land (VTL-Land) between Malaysia and Singapore on 29 November 2021 is to facilitate quarantine-free, seamless cross-border movement by integrating health protocol, security and immigration clearance. This initiative allowed those separated from their loved ones due to the pandemic to travel home and reunite with their families.

True to its purpose of providing opportunities for both countries to reopen the land border in a gradual, safe, systematic and sustainable manner; necessary health measures are implemented and imposed to travellers between Malaysia and Singapore.

EUROCHAM Malaysia Chairman, Mr. Oliver Roche alongside EUROCHAM Malaysia CEO, Mr. Sven Schneider had an insightful and productive meeting with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) today. The meeting was chaired by YBhg Dato’ Arham Abdul Rahman, CEO, MIDA and was attended by Mr. Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Investment Promotion & Facilitation and team.

During the meeting, EUROCHAM together with MIDA discussed on a number of areas of interest that includes topics such as talent mobility, immigration, supply chain management as well as a discussion on FDI promotion and the EU- Malaysia FTA in Malaysia.
