Advocacy Talks – Briefing on the 12th Malaysia Plan by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU)

Join us on Monday, 13 December 2021, at 2:30 PM (+8 GMT) for an exclusive briefing on the 12th Malaysia Plan by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU). This briefing will be conducted by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapha Bin Mohamed, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) together with Dato’ V Valluvan Veloo, Director of Manufacturing Industry Science and Technology Division, Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department.

The 12th Malaysia Plan was tabled on the 27th of September 2021, which was aligned with the shared prosperity initiative encompassing three dimensions, namely economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, and social re-engineering.

This development roadmap aims to achieve the objective of a "Prosperous, Inclusive, Sustainable Malaysia", focusing on three Themes which are Resetting the Economy, Strengthening Security, Well-Being and Inclusivity, and Advancing Sustainability.

REINFORCEMENT ACTIONS FOR PREVENTION AND CONTROL MEASURES CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) FOR TRAVELERS FROM OVERSEAS

A press release has been issued by the Ministry of Health Malaysia regarding Reinforcement Actions for Prevention and Control Measures Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for Travelers from Overseas – media statement as follows:

As of December 6, 2021, a total of 43 countries have reported cases of COVID-19 infection with the new Omicron variant. Out of the 43 countries reported, eight (8) countries have been imposed temporary travel restrictions which started on November 27, 2021, and five (5) other countries have reported the transmission of the Omicron variant in their community. Those countries are as follows:

The RP-T has since evolved from an immigration instrument to an initiative that helps address critical skill gaps and diversifies Malaysia’s talent pool. Through the RP-T, individuals can remain in the country and contribute towards Malaysia’s goal of becoming a high-income nation.
