Arise+ Malaysia Workshop on Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth through International Trade and Economic Integration

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the privilege of participating in the closing session of the Arise+ Malaysia Workshop on Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth through International Trade and Economic Integration, a collaborative effort with the EU Green Deal. The insights shared during these discussions were carefully examined by ITC experts, who synthesized the key points and highlighted the recommendations for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Environmental and Social Due Diligence Regulation (EUDR). These recommendations were grouped into three primary areas: (1) international strategic approach, (2) internal policy review, and (3) capacity building.

We are heartened to learn that ITC is committed to supporting the realization of these recommendations. They also announced their intention to collaborate with MITI to create a comprehensive report on CBAM and EUDR, aiding MITI in developing a tailored action plan for these important initiatives.
