EUROCHAM Malaysia had the pleasure of visiting our esteemed member, PERSOLKELLY Malaysia. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kamarul Dato' Marzuki, Associate Director of National Business Development and Sales, and Mr. Akid Ahmad, Manager of National Business Development and Sales. They delivered a presentation of their services and took us on a site visit to their office.

PERSOLKELLY is one of the largest end-to-end HR solutions companies in the APAC region, offers services such as temporary and contract staffing, permanent hiring, executive search, HR consulting, training, outplacement, and outsourcing. EUROCHAM Malaysia had a highly productive meeting with the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) yesterday. We had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Farrah Shameen Mohamad Ashray, Chief Executive Officer; Rashidah Abdul Rahman, Secretary to CEO; Akmal Saarani, Director of Product; and Muhammad Hasif Azizan, Senior Executive of Communications & Marketing. We delved into discussions about the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) and explored potential collaboration opportunities.

The MTCC is dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management and ensuring that timber products sourced from Malaysia meet stringent environmental and social standards. The MTCS, recognised by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), is pivotal in this mission, providing a framework for certifying timber products that support sustainable practices.

EUROCHAM Malaysia is excited to learn how we can support MTCC’s mission in promoting a sustainable supply chain. By aligning with MTCC, we can offer our EU business community access to responsibly sourced timber, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to global sustainability goals.
