We were honoured to participate in the Seminar on Combatting Forced Labour in Malaysia, a collaborative effort by the Department of Labour Peninsular Malaysia, MOHR, and the National Strategic Office Council for Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants (NSO MAPO), MOHA, held at Putrajaya.

The seminar was officially opened by YB Tuan V. Sivakumar, Minister of Human Resources, alongside the Launching Ceremony of "Garis Panduan Bagi Mencegah dan Membasmi Amalan Buruh Paksa Di Tempat Pekerjaan."

From June 12th to 28th, ISKL offered an enriching and fun-filled journey for students from Prep Reception to Grade 12. Here's why it was an experience like no other:

Diverse Activities: Our Summer Program offered a perfect blend of learning and leisure, with age-appropriate activities for all. Whether you're into sports, arts, or something in between, we had it all!

Inspirit AI: This year, we introduced Inspirit AI, a program led by Stanford and MIT graduates. Students delved into the exciting world of artificial intelligence, learning its foundations, real-world applications (like powering ChatGPT!), and programming in Python.

EUROCHAM Malaysia, in collaboration with DanCham Malaysia, Malaysian-Swedish Business Association (MASBA), and Carlsberg Malaysia, organised the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) Roundtable Dialogue on yesterday at the Carlsberg Brewery Shah Alam.

In attendance of the CSO Roundtable Dialogue were Mr Sven Schneider, EUROCHAM Malaysia CEO, Ms Pearl Lai, EUROCHAM Malaysia Board Member and Head of the Sustainability Sector Committee, Dr Jenny J Westin, Director of the Malaysian-Swedish Business Association (MASBA) and ESG related officers.

During the Roundtable Dialogue, there were a number of areas of discussion that were addressed, including Renewable Energy, led by Sven Schneider, Circularity in Manufacturing, led by Ms Pearl Lai, and Hydrogen Economy, Dr. Jenny J. Westin and Mr Mohd Amir Shariff, Chief Marketing Officer, BCN Smart Technologies.

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the privilege to attend the Belanjawan 2024: Sesi Town Hall Ekonomi Digital with YB Fahmi Fadzil, where the future of Malaysia's digital economy was unveiled!

YB Fahmi Fadzil expressed optimism regarding 5G coverage, with expectations of reaching 30% by the end of this year. Remarkably, as of this month, coverage has already surged to an impressive 68%, with hopeful anticipation that by the year 2024, it will soar to 80%. Discussions also revolved around technology, data management, and the paramount importance of data privacy and cybersecurity.

The digital economy has emerged as a formidable contributor, accounting for over 23% of Malaysia's GDP. The ambitious goal is set for this sector to elevate its GDP contribution to an impressive 25.5% by the year 2025.
