This significant occasion marks the reunification of East and West Germany on 3rd October 1990, a pivotal moment in European history.

Key highlights from Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul's speech included a strong call for SMEs to capitalise on Malaysia's free trade agreements (FTAs) to expand their reach into international markets. He emphasised the crucial role of global market access for local companies and MITI's commitment to progress through the Madani mission.

A significant moment was also marked with the launch of MITI’s Sustainability Report 2023, the first sustainability report produced by a Malaysian ministry, setting new standards for sustainable governance.

Mr Azrul Abdul Hamid, Datuk Merlyn Kasimir (MK), and Chris Hemmingway, (via Teams) contributed to valuable discussions on upcoming projects to support our members in navigating the evolving IP landscape.

EUROCHAM Malaysia recently hosted the E-Invoicing Webinar, co-organised with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

A big thank you to our expert speakers, Dr. Rasyidah binti Che Rosli, Director of the e-Invoice Division at IRBM, and Mr. Zakiy R. Hisham, representing Industry and Government Bodies, Stakeholders Relations at MDEC, for delivering valuable insights on Malaysia's transition to a fully digitalised tax system.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the pivotal changes introduced in the second wave of E-Invoicing, particularly for businesses with revenues ranging from RM 25-RM 100 million.
