Day 2 - Scaling Up a Hydrogen Economy

We thank all our esteemed VIPs and participants who attended our EU Indo Pacific Energy Conference which was organised by the European Union in Malaysia together with EUROCHAM Malaysia.

The EU adopted a hydrogen strategy (July 2020), putting forward a vision for the creation of a European hydrogen ecosystem from research and innovation to scale up production and infrastructure globally. The EU has launched the EU Energy Platform to pool demand, coordinate infrastructure use and negotiate with international partners to facilitate joint hydrogen purchases. Hydrogen is an essential part of the energy transition as it offers a solution to decarbonize industrial processes and economic sectors where reducing carbon emissions is hard to achieve. Currently, hydrogen production from renewable sources is limited, but this is set to change with the global focus on its potential and the green energy transition.

Day 1 - Achieving Energy Security Through Diversification                            

We thank all our esteemed VIPs and participants who attended our EU Indo Pacific Energy Conference which was organised by the European Union in Malaysia together with EUROCHAM Malaysia happened within the last 2 days.

The EU has launched the EU Energy Platform to pool demand, coordinate infrastructure use and negotiate with international partners to facilitate joint gas and hydrogen purchases. In parallel, the EU contributes to the global clean and just energy transition and is working with partners towards ensuring sustainable, secure and affordable energy worldwide, by boosting energy efficiency and the development of renewables.

On behalf of our fellow associate chamber, the Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), we would like to extend an invitation to the upcoming HR Circle event that is organised every quarter of the year for all HR Personnel.

For this upcoming HR Circle on 9 March, SMCC is collaborating with International Labour Organisations (ILO) to discuss the topic "Skills Mismatch: Addressing Companies' Needs". SMCC has also invited Antah Schindler and MBAM for a sharing session. Please note that this will be a paid event for non-SMCC members.

EUROCHAM Malaysia conducted a very insightful and fruitful Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) sector committee meeting on the 16th of February 2023. In attendance were Mr Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia, Mr Chew Phye Keat, Head of the IPR Sector Committee and the EUROCHAM Malaysia team, alongside other committee members, that include:

EUROCHAM Malaysia would like to thank the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) for inviting us to the Chinese New Year Networking Session 2023 MITI & Agencies. In attendance at the networking session were EUROCHAM Malaysia Chairman, Mr Oliver Roche together with our Board of Directors, Ms Pearl Lai, Danish Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DanCham) and Dato' Michael Wong, Global Business Advisory.

It was a great networking session with good engagements together with our friends from MITI.
