Here are the highlights from the latest address regarding MCO by Senior Minister of Defence (30 May 2021):
All these business sectors are allowed to operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm only
The following are among the SOPs of the Movement Control Order (PKP) which will be effective from
1 to 14 June 2021 for the whole country:
• Only (2) household representatives are ALLOWED to go out to get food supplies, medicine, dietary supplements and basic necessities. A maximum of (3) persons only including patients are allowed out to seek health care, medical, screening, safety or emergency services within a radius not exceeding 10KM from the residence or to the nearest place of residence if the health or medical services are not within a radius of 10KM from the residence.
• The number of passengers in taxis and e-hailing is limited to (2) people only including the driver and passengers.
• Sea and land public transport services such as employee transport, stop buses, express buses, LRT, MRT, ERL, Monorail, ferries and other public transport are ALLOWED to operate based on 50% vehicle capacity (operating hours and frequencies subject to the Ministry of Transport) except aircraft.
• Attendance capacity for Civil Service personnel is limited to 20% for necessary duties (excluding front liners, security and defense personnel) and 100% working from home (WFH) for non-essential services. While the capacity of employee attendance for the private sector in the service should include operations and management is limited to 60%.
• In general, all service-related economic sectors should be able to operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm except;
o Daily market: 6.00 am to 2.00 pm
o Controlled Fresh Market (PST): 7.00 am to 12.00 noon.
o Permanent Farmers Market (PTK), MyFarm Outlet (MFO) and Farmers Organization Complex (PPK) : 6.00 am to 4.00 pm.
o Wholesale market: 12.01 am to 6.00 am and 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
o Petrol stations: 6.00 am to 8.00 pm except petrol stations on the highway can operate for up to 24 hours
