A media statement has been issued by Senior Minister of Defence Malaysia regarding National Recovery Plan Phase Transition and SOP Relaxation – media statement as follows:

A. National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase Transition

Taking into account the current risk assessment conducted by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and the National Security Council (NSC), COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee agrees to the transition of the NRP Phase for the following states effective 8 November 2021:

Moving from Phase 3 to Phase 4: Perlis, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Kedah.

The Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for states entering Phase 4 are the same as before. The latest SOP information will be updated by MKN on the official website www.mkn.gov.my.

B. Vaccination Program for Crew at Port Klang

The crew under the management of the Port Klang Authority are allowed to take vaccinations during a stopover at Port Klang subject to the approval of MOH, Malaysian Marine Department (JLM) and Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM).

Vaccination should be done onboard to prevent large-scale movement of the crew to clinics or medical facilities.

The Port Klang Authority has been requested to submit further information requirements such as the organizer, number of crew involved and others related to the vaccination program for crew in Port Klang.
