Another successful event was checked off our list!
We thank all our esteemed VIPs and participants who attended our EU-MY Circular Economy Conference 2.0 which was organised by EUROCHAM Malaysia together with the European Union happened yesterday during the IGEM 2022 Conference. It was truly a successful event and we look forward to collaborating and organising more events like these to further strengthen the emerging Circular Economy and ever-growing industries.

The conference commenced with an uplifting introduction and welcoming remarks by Dr. Richard Hlavaty, Director General of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, EU Presidency, together with a Keynote Speech by YB Dato’ Iskandar bin Abdul Samad, Chairman of MGTC and Mr. Davor Percan, Directorate General of Environment, European Commission as well as closing remarks by our CEO, Mr. Sven Schneider.
Our esteemed panel of speakers includes:
- Dr. S. Sri Umeswara, Executive Director of DIALOG ESECO Sdn Bhd;
- Ms. Pauline Goh, General Manager of Malaysia Recycling Alliance (MAREA);
- Mr. Freek van Ejik, CEO of Holland Circular Hotspot;
- Mr. Steven Paalman, Director of The Ocean Cleanup;
- Ms. Vimala Arumugam, Managing Director of BASF (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
We also thank our esteemed panel of speakers who joined together to provide their most valuable insights on “Enabling Circular Economy in Malaysia – Critical Success Factors” based on European and Malaysian experience. The panel was moderated by Mr. Roberto Benetello, Executive Director of BCSD Malaysia.
