Strengthening Investment Bridges: EUROCHAM Malaysia Meeting with MIDA

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the honour of meeting with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to explore deeper collaboration in promoting EU-Malaysia investment opportunities. Represented by CEO Mr. Karl Godderis and Government Relations Executive Mr. Shaik Irfan, the meeting marked a key step forward in our advocacy efforts.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja the Deputy CEO, Investment Promotion and Facilitation, Ms. May Lim, and Mr. Syamil Sauffi from the Foreign Investment Division for the warm reception and valuable exchange. Mr. Siva’s insights into MIDA’s investment strategies, special economic zones project and talent facilitations were especially meaningful for understanding the evolving landscape for European investors in Malaysia.

As an outcome of the meeting, EUROCHAM Malaysia looks forward to working closely with MIDA on joint initiatives—including tailored investment briefings for our members and efforts to boost cross-border investment collaboration between Malaysia and the EU. 

This marks the beginning of what we anticipate will be a dynamic and strategic partnership to better serve and empower the EU business community in Malaysia.
