EUROCHAM Malaysia was pleased to host a strategic meeting with representatives from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the EU Global Gateway project to map potential for TVET Expansion in Malaysia. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Malaysia through EU–Malaysia collaboration.
The delegation included Dr. Rainer Gerke, EU TVET Scaling-Up Expert, Mr. Gabriel Dayre, Programme Officer from the EU Delegation to Thailand & Mr. Nigel Roshan Miranda Project Executive at GOPA. The discussion centred on key issues such as system-level improvement, visibility challenges, and skills mismatch within Malaysia’s current TVET framework. The engagement laid the groundwork for a structured partnership aimed at building a resilient, future-ready workforce aligned with both local and global industry demands.
EUROCHAM Malaysia was represented by Mr. Karl Godderis, while Prof. Dr. Wahiza Wahat and Dr. Ng Ken Yap participated on behalf of UPM.
We extends our appreciation to all parties for their valuable insights and looks forward to continued collaboration in elevating Malaysia’s TVET ecosystem through EU expertise and joint action.
