On the 7th of August 2025, EUROCHAM Malaysia was honoured to attend the inaugural Budget 2026 Engagement Council, chaired by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.
Key highlights from the session:
• Budget 2026 will support the 13th Malaysia Plan, focusing on elevating national competitiveness, promoting high-value sectors such as semiconductors, energy transition, and the Islamic economy, while upholding strong governance.
• Digitalisation, AI, and creative industries remain priority pillars to stimulate value-based economic growth and future-readiness, with continued support for MSMEs and startups.
• Improving access to education, healthcare, and social protection remains a central goal, with a strong emphasis on public participation and inclusive policy-making
