EUROCHAM Malaysia Joins MITI's Budget 2026 Dialogue

On 12 September 2025, EUROCHAM Malaysia, represented by CEO Mr. Karl Godderis, joined MITI's Budget 2026 Dialogue, chaired by Minister YB Senator Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Zafrul Aziz.

We stressed the importance of sustaining momentum in the Malaysia–EU Free Trade Agreement (MEUFTA) negotiations and welcomed the EU’s recent recognition of the Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification, a key milestone for trade and sustainability.

During the dialogue, several key items were discussed, including the Domestic Investment Accelerator Fund, Reinvestment Allowance, and Industrial Linkages Incentives, which play a crucial role in enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness and driving industrial growth.

EUROCHAM Malaysia values its close engagement with MITI and key government agencies in shaping Budget 2026 inputs. We will continue to ensure the perspectives of the EU business community are aligned with Malaysia’s economic priorities.
