Here is the latest press statement by The Immigration Department of Malaysia (IMMI) which refers to foreigners holding Social Visit Pass (SVP) having to leave the country on 21 April 2021. 

Foreign nationals who are granted permission to reside in the country under SVP have to comply with all regulations and laws stipulated under the Immigration Act. IMMI has also decided for foreign nationals to leave the country on 21 April 2021. Failure to do so may result in enforcement action being taken.

However, in the event should some foreign visitors who face difficulty in returning to their countries due to the non-availability of flights and the COVID-19 pandemic situation in their home country, they can apply for a Special Pass to extend their stay in the country but this needs to be supported by their respective embassies. Proof of documents regarding residence and financial capability during the stay in the country must be included.
