Latest Updates on MCO3.0 [May 22, 2021]

Here are the highlights from the recent Press Conference by Defence Minister Ismail Sabri on MCO 3.0:

 

-New restrictions will be effective for Peninsular Malaysia + Labuan starting May 25th, 2021 onwards.

 

-Heightened road blocks.

 

-40% of the workforce in the private sector, involving 6.1 million employees, will be required to work from home.

 

-80% govt staff will work from home.

 

-Further Details to be informed by MITI.

 

-Public transport reduced by 50% capacity.

 

-Business operations including food outlets, shops, convenience stores, pet stores, laundromats, shopping malls, and petrol stations  (except for highway rest stops) will operate from 8AM - 8PM for business operations.

 

-Night markets will operate from 4PM - 8PM while pharmacies will be allowed to operate from 8AM - 10PM.

 

-Today’s number of confirmed cases at 6320 cases positive of COVID-19
