EUROCHAM Malaysia conducted a very insightful and fruitful Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) sector committee meeting on the 16th of February 2023. In attendance were Mr Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia, Mr Chew Phye Keat, Head of the IPR Sector Committee and the EUROCHAM Malaysia team, alongside other committee members, that include:

- Mr Muhammad Azrul Abdul Hamid, Partner, Azrul, Liew & Co;

- Dr Chris Hemmingway, Patent, Trade and Design Attorney and Agent for Marks & Clerks;

- Mr Martin Schlotelburg, Principal Administrator at European Union Intellectual Property Office;

- Mr Peter D Dojilda, Senior Patent Consultant at Adastra IP;

- Ms Christine Ng, Director of IP Valuation & Strategic IP at Adastra IP;

- Ms Yong Yet Chin, Legal Counsel at Roche Malaysia;

- Ms Madihah, EUROCHAM Malaysia;

- Ms Aisyah Syahirah, EUROCHAM Malaysia; and

- Ms Cassandra, EUROCHAM Malaysia.

We highlighted and discussed advocacy-related updates during the committee meeting, as well as came up with some ideas for the major projects for 2023. We also highlighted the difficulties facing the IPR sector, and we agreed to work together to identify long-term solutions going forward.

We appreciate everyone's participation in and cooperation with this meeting, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the Intellectual Property Rights Sector Committee.
